Universal Waffles
- 2 cups flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs (separated)
- 2 cups milk
- 4 tablespoons melted butter
- Beat egg whites until stiff, set aside
- Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt
- Beat egg yolks together
- Add milk
- Add to flour mixture and beat slowly and well
- Add melted butter
- Fold in stiffly-beaten egg whites
- Cook in a waffle iron
