Peaceful Lasagna
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 clove garlic (pressed)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- pepper
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 8 ounce cans tomato sauce
- 8 ounces green noodles (thin)
- 6 green onions (chopped)
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
- black olives (halved)
- mushrooms (sliced)
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Melt butter and add meat to cook.
- Add garlic, salt, pepper, sugar, tomato sauce, and mushrooms.
- Cover and cook, 15 minutes, over low heat.
- Cook noodles until tender and drain.
- Place 1/3 of the green onions in casserole dish, top with a layer of noodles.
- Blend together cream cheese and sour cream, and spread 1/3 over noodles.
- Cover with 1/3 meat sauce.
- Repeat layers 2 times.
- Sprinkle top of casserole with cheese and olives.
- Bake about 20 minutes, or until bubbly.
- Makes 6 servings.
No clue as to why this is called “Peacefull” Lasagna. Perhaps because it doesn’t use lasagna noodles. This is more like another ground beef noodle casserole
